If what you’ve seen of Washington allows you to have blind faith in them, go for it. Personally, I need proof before okaying censorship.

They gave themselves a low burden of proof and didn’t even meet that. Their main claim in the hearing was that it could, possibly, in the future, be a national security risk if the Chinese have the data (they didn’t even prove they did), by theoretically bribing and blackmailing Americans.
