Had a recruiter phone screen where she immediately started praising my CV saying “Sarah, you’re the one! I told the VP about you and we’re so excited.” Added me on LI, then didn’t make it to the next interview and ghosted my feedback request. There is no way I bombed that bad to deserve that.

I love this t-shirt so much I just tracked it down and bought it!

I’d like to say this was shocking and that I left and reported it to HR. But it was probably 2009 and not too far from the norm of the sexism my friends and I experienced in tech on a regular basis.

My favorite at the moment is Good Luck, where Vince plays a blind former Seahawk opposite Gregory Hines, whose character uses a wheelchair. They team up to try to win a white water rafting competition and it was surprisingly delightful. Their performances and chemistry were 💯

I’m realizing there is a genre of movie that’s pretty much “white men just realized that the American government is broken and talk at each other about it for three hours” that just isn’t my jam.

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is short and delightful. You solve puzzles and play music to get critters to help you preserve nature and defeat gentrifiers. Plus a Sigur Ros soundtrack and ACAB vibes!
