oh hey, it’s been almost a year since I painted minis and i built up the will power to try again. continued work on Clubber Laine from gaz minis

i was going to do yellow boots and started with the requisite pink underlayer but might just stick with that and tone it down a smidge

meat space version, a nifty case and one of those ikea wood boxes that happen to be 3u tall. the positions for these are not optimized at all and I need to cut some holes so that idc cable that connects them can be less janky. i have a fully 3d printed rack planned out as a vacation project

modules, i've prioritized ones that i can diy on a budget. other than the cre8audio and behringer modules so far it's all diy. the eventual goal is to have a generative and sequencable path for both percussion and bleeps. next build is an erica synths bassline

two layers deep. current project was a gp02 solomon but i opened it months after receiving it and its missing a few key pieces :/

probably just going to paint minis until the sting of that is gone

getting this together has made me so damn happy. i now have a generative drum synth where I built every piece in the signal chain myself. serious unbridle joy at this and i still have another module to add in.

wave 2 of my decent into diy modular arrived today. a bunch MI through-hole reworks and some originals from sourcery studios. put together the five channel mixer today.
if i stick to DIY i’m pretty sure this will remain an affordable hobby

finished up the zao workshop saint armor redeem today, the lance and pistol are -a look- I really like it. definitely need to get the oracle as well

maybe the only fire related thing i’ve ever painted, i spent so many hour glazing yellow ink over the orange and it’s barely visible, i really need to revisit it

A screen shot of my somewhat less rough attempt at a 3D model of a "phasebook like" disk drive by the concept artist Sheng Lam. The 3D object has no texture and is a light grey. It has the proportions of a portable 3.5" floppy disk drive and a smattering of surface details. The cutout for the entry port for the disk is on the front face of the drive. There is the beginnings of a connection port on the right hand face of the drive towards the back. The top surface has a number of greebles and a large raised panel covering the left rear quadrant of the surface.

it's getting closer. rescaled it to better match the art. broke out the port thing on the side and some other bits into separate objects. added some more greebles and applied materials to all of the items currently modeled
