I've had four City dinners these recent weeks. It's that time of year,I guess. The menus sit on my chimneypiece like trophies.

Last night I was at the excellent Dar's in Hampstead (South End Green, actually), a Pakistani restaurant which is one of my regular haunts. Superb, but with NW3 prices !

Looks amazing. Sadly, I shall have to miss this. Way too much going on. Pity.

Is this small stretch known as "Hanover Hole" by the Lightermen ? I have yet to work-out where Hanover Hole is actually located. Some call it "Hand-over Hole".

Was this a BBC radio series back in the day ?

Superb. Goldsmiths tonight with the Musicians. Installation. Possibly my last - I'm reassessing some of this stuff, as is my bank manager :)

Just back from a Livery Dinner at Innholders' Hall. The Parish Clerks used to have their Epiphany Court Dinner there, but now it's too small. A great venue.

My daughter only took her Freedom of the City by Patrimony after she fell pregnant and I sneakily coerced her by asking good family friends to sign her papers. Me, she could ignore, but our friends pulled it off. God willing, we will have three extant generations when my granddaughter reaches 18 :)
