So the prospect of being extradited to China or Russia or whatever for things you can say on the internet is unlikely and that we aren’t fucked? Like I don’t want to get kidnapped and tortured because I support lgbtq rights I can’t have that happen to me or anyone I know

I’ve seen the Punchbowl article and as far as I know it’s just going to be a hearing/markup, I don’t think it’ll be fully voted on any time soon/immediately after the shutdown ends but we should still call them regardless

Right, didn’t want to downplay anything. The fact that people are spreading awareness and contacting their reps about this does give me some hope, my anxiety just gets the best of me sometimes and thinks it’ll be voted on pretty much any day now. Either way, thank you.

Like my brain’s constantly telling me it’s gonna pass due to its chances on govtrack and once it does everything we’ve done is gonna be all over, I know it’s a bit exaggerated but yeah I just feel like I need some hope over this I guess

Okay I can‘t really call since I don’t live in the US (though I’ve been telling people irl about this), do you think making noise about STOP CSAM at this rate is going to make it much less likely to pass? I dunno, I’ve been having multiple panic attacks over it and I can‘t think straight over it

Right, and because of that I’m guessing it’s unlikely it’ll make it into the NDAA by now. I’m incredibly sorry if I’ve been really annoying and bothering you about that, my anxiety just got the best of me I guess. Sorry.

Okay apparently Hawley’s trying to sneak STOP CSAM through the NDAA. I don’t know when the NDAA will pass but regardless we need to get on their asses like right now

Can I ask where you heard that it was going to be added to the NDAA? Just want to see if its correct since i havent seen any news regarding them trying to add it to the NDAA.

Yeah I’ve been paying attention too and I have my doubts about this passing, still felt really damn anxious about no one talking about this so thought there’d be no harm in potentially getting it added to the list I guess.

Is it okay if there could be some eyes on the STOP CSAM Act as well? It failed I think twice before but I don’t want to take any chances since no one seems to be talking about it right now, call senators about this too please www.congress.gov/bill/119th-c...
