Let's talk about the root of the problem – the UK's unwillingness to invest in its kids. Eg, nurses – we wouldn't 'need' qualified people from overseas if we reinstated nurses' bursaries (removed in 2015). There are over 20% fewer nursing students at university now than three years ago.
