Managed to get both my mom’s dogs to sit and look in the same direction for long enough to snap a pic for my mom. Sweet victory 💪

The incision’s starting to show signs of an infection and dehiscence so we get to add a new antibiotic from the one she started Sunday plus now I get to do hot compresses, surgical scrubs, and neosporin (?) twice a day. Still not laying on that pad right either lol

I’m just going to have to rent a carpet cleaner when we’re done with her recovery b/c she is flatly against laying correctly on any of the pads or towels I have placed about for this purpose

There are 2 rules:
1 - b/c of the Penrose drain she is only allowed to sit or lay where the pads are so we’re not making messes everywhere (it’s gross fam)
2 - if the cone is off she must stay in my direct line of sight
We are struggling with both of these rules today
