I knit and I know (some) things.
I drive an EV (no, not a Tesla) and recycle, so yeah, I'm one of those people.
Her patterns are a lot of fun! Her Counting Sheep scarf was one of my first big double knitting projects. Her Book Lover scarf was on my needles a couple years later. :D

Are you a fan of Prince Bride? This one was also a lot of fun to knit. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...
The Inconceivable Scarf (Princess Bride) pattern by Tess Campbell
Drop. Your. Needles. Since the invention of the scarf, there have been five scarves rated the most creative, the most impressive. This one left them all behind.

Have you checked with your local library? Ones near me have occasionally had knitting/crocheting 101-type classes.

Or look for local charity groups or a knitting guild. Maybe find a chapter of Project Linus in your state and see if you can donate to them? The main site only accepts $.

Yup! (it is under the availability section) Ravelry was the first place I could think of for easy access to free patterns.

I was immediately suspicious 'cause crocheting involves a lot of movement of both hand and hook, which would make it super hard to track accurately. Google came back w/ reviews & several different versions though, but none I clicked on said they'd actually do it automatically.

Except it doesn't do it for you automatically. The R and S buttons on the front are for you to push in order to keep up with the rows and stitches.

I was a little disappointed in how quickly I got called in for my appt this afternoon 'cause I didn't even get through a full page. 😆 I did get through a few pages between finishing vitals and the dr entering the room though.
