Australia is currently 11 hours ahead of the UK, so a morning UK time would be the most sensible for us Antipodeans. But I also appreciate the need to make it work for the greatest number of folks and that time might limit US participation.

If there's ever a second run of this, any chance of it being held at a diferent time for muggins like meself in different time zones?

(b) followed by (c). Any damage or deterioration to the CD would result in really distinctive digital glitches, not sound normal but rubbish. Laptop speakers aren't usually great, but with (c)... what was that phrase again? "The memory cheats"? 😉

Oooh, maybe! (Although a thought occurs that the scenes with Poppy had to be shot later in the day (kid actor guidelines and all that) so they got the other stuff done early. But who knows!)

Man, the tales about the production of all this will be fascinating... whenever people can share it!

I just wonder how that's possible, given the rest of the episode would have been shot about a year earlier, and you've got a baby (well, toddler) who would look markedly different. Not saying it didn't happen, but it's a much bigger hurdle than just getting Ncuti and Varada back for a day.

Yay! I love every bit of 64 Quartets, even for artists I'm not a fan of or familiar with - such great and evocative writing.

Can attest to both!

A more (relatively) modern version for me is the MP3s from the early 2000s acquired from, ahem, Metallica's favourite program which had glitches (like your record skritch) or were so low bitrate that the 'correct' versions sound too clean.

Your 64 Quartets piece on them turned me on to them big time - finding a second-hand copy of All Over The Place and discovering how great it is.

Sure, there's plenty of folks who'd rather offend than learn. And there's learning to accept that even with the best intentions you'll still screw up every now and then.

But I can't imagine another way to respond to those questions and not want to be better. Maybe that's naivete. Don't care.

3. Can you listen to people?

Because that's really it. If you don't want to offend people intentionally, if you're willing to concede that you don't know everything, then the next step is to open yourself to listening to the minorities you decry. Sure, things change, but not that quickly.

2. Do you know everything?

Of course no one does. No one *can*. And that's okay, and means we always have an opportunity to learn, if we're willing to listen.

1. Do you want to offend people?

A fairly self-evident question, one I hope that most people would answer 'no' to. And I really hope that they would mean it, too.
