Chilling at the library with 5 1/2 month old, “Bridge” at the local library. He is in a “Close” between my legs and is quite settled. He is not reacting to his environment. I am just boarding him for just a few days, but training doesn’t cease.
A black Labrador retriever is sprawled out on the carpet, in a relaxed position, although contorted position. He is wearing a blue jacket which reads, “BC & Alberta Guide Dogs: In Training.” His wide, bright red leash.

Salsa needs to walk on many different surfaces in his early years so that she is comfortable navigating the world in the future, with a human in tow.

Initially Salsa was apprehensive. My job was to exude confidence so that he feels assured that everything will be okay.

Salsa, a black female Labrador retriever, sits on a floating dock with an aluminum gangway leading to the main pier. It is mid-tide, so the slope of the gangway isn’t too steep or too shallow. Salsa is relaxed after a little bit of apprehension from walking down the gangway which has a rough surface to prevent people from slipping. Salsa is looking away from the camera because she is picking up the scent of many mysterious things.

I have had “Salsa” for the past week. She’s 14 month old Guide Dog in Training with the BC & Alberta Guide Dogs. Her original border came down with Pneumonia, so I’m helping out until Salsa’s Puppy Raisers return from Vacation on the 10th.

She’s black, and it’s hot, but she prefers the sun over the shade, so here she posses for the camera. Salsa in her training jacket mastering “Sitting on the dog” at Laura’s Coffee Corner. She lies by the table as the humans drink the “bean juice”. Salsa proudly sits beside the PASS Summit 2016 coffee tumbler! Although she is one of the few K9’s permitted inside the coffee shop, we all prefer the sunshine and fresh air. Note: No dog was actually sat on during “Sitting on the Dog”
