both kids got one present TO SHARE from Santa that year. We ate $0.59/pack hotdogs a lot because they were the cheapest food at the grocery store.
I made “too much money” for food stamps.
There is no one
who “doesn’t deserve food.”
what A stupid argument.

I could not afford a phone, as the $50/week remaining went to gas, food, and electricity. We didn’t have a tv, no cable, pre-residential internet and cell phones.
During the winter the baseboard heating was so inefficient, I could barely keep the bill paid Or keep the pos car operating.

Old wives tales might actually work and the science behind them. Or even “supernatural” things like witches hanging bells on their doors for protection. if I were a robber, I’d skip the door that makes noise, too. Nothing spooky about that.

There are many caffeine free teas, but none of them are here in my house other than the aforementioned chamomile.
I am also not a drinker, the rum is here for cooking. But I was willing to give it a go and honestly it made a huge difference. We have been talking a bunch about why various

I should also point out I had had hot green tea (not iced) multiple times over the course of the prior three days, trying to help my sore throat. Also tried chamomile, but know it can worsen asthma. So there’s that.
One badly planned/executed empirical study.

Lemon juice: Acidic, vitamin c, antioxidants potentially boost immune system
Cinnamon: antioxidant, antibiotic, and anti-inflammatory.
All super low doses, to be fair. which just means more hot toddies!

The new place has a heat pump, and with temps that low, the aux heat comes on (very expensive). So I’ll have the electric blankets going!

Love my SAD lamp.
Might I also suggest a sunrise alarm? That has also helped me a lot.
