Spurs since 1988, Season ticket for >20 years.

Mainly talking Spurs and football, trying to remain balanced.
To be fair we have them a couple for free

At least it was worth a watch.

Can you bar errors leading to goals in your analysis?

He’s a good (but not great) player if used correctly. He’s not particularly versatile and he’s certainly not a target man.
November 26, 2025 at 9:22 PM
lol yeah, we need an 8th CB
November 25, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Not the same. Measurably he’s never turned in a match like the last one or Chelsea. Ever. In fact most teams in PL history haven’t.
November 25, 2025 at 12:04 AM
I’d rather he go before January as we don’t want to sign some clogger for him
November 25, 2025 at 12:03 AM
It is almost as if his understanding of the words aggressive, positive and brave is not aligned with the entirety of the fanbase.
November 24, 2025 at 8:26 PM
What signs have you seen to say he is the right man?
November 24, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Not at all, his underlying data was far better than the results. The mirror opposite situation.
November 24, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Xavi yes. My point is we’re not talking about Championship journeymen. These players get into many PL sides.

7 international forwards available - zero xG.

Arteta never had stats like this, and he was a novice.
November 24, 2025 at 4:04 PM
I have been going to our matches and I’m afraid I disagree - there are no positive signs from him. He’s extremely similar to Nuno in his approach and we’ve bought players he doesn’t even begin to use properly. It won’t work out.
November 24, 2025 at 11:43 AM
Removing all context (where he and we arrive from) is the approach credible?

Killed our attack dead, the likes of Muani, Kudus, Simons look 2nd rate.

No midfield in a possession sense.

We are defensive but poor defensively.

Stats at all time lows.

Nobody has turned this around before.

It was an atrocious window for us which took us to what happened last year. Even now those guys are only approaching readiness, none are true first team level for a top 6 club.

What I mean is relative to the past. We had good XIs, or good parts of the XI without no backup.
November 24, 2025 at 11:36 AM
We have good defenders and we are defensive but we are not good defensively. The disconnect is on the coach.
November 24, 2025 at 11:32 AM
I disagree - they looked committed to whatever limited plan there was. I just think the tactics are extremely basic and rely on winning more 50/50 moments than losing.
November 24, 2025 at 11:05 AM
Aggressive play from who? How would we have more midfield control when it was 2 against 3 and their 3 are all better than our 2? We basically gave up any hope of hurting them which is not aggressive in my book.
