Open World is having its time in the sun like 3D platformers once did. Everyone wants to make an Open World game. But that doesn’t mean every game should be open world.

There’s a reason the Breath of the Wild approach to Open World was so good, but also why it is basically never duplicated.

There is so much effort that went into just putting 999 Korok seeds and their activation methods throughout the map.

Most Open World games are wastelands.

Because it's not about treating people with respect. Or equality. It was always about greed, and they found a way to put a good spin on it, to make them feel good about it.

But if those workers ever unionized, If they ever tried to leave their job to go to another. One wrong move, and deportation.

With everything that has happened over the past year, it has become obvious. But this has been the system since long before Trump.

People have been on Visas in the US for 20-30 and sometimes 40 or 50 years. People who have put in more work than anyone born on it's soil are denied citizenship.

Even the best and brightest fall in line.

Better to focus on culture war shit that is ultimately meaningless.

Trump will never face consequences, this will change nothing. But as long as it doesn't disturb their precious donors, it's okay.

The first generation looks like an experimental engineering sample.

The Second Generation looks like the SteamDeck as a controller.

And finally rear-grip buttons are just built in. The Touchpads are really nice for some games, but usually I don't use them.

But this is actual innovation.
