i’ll have to use this for text based conversations where it’s harder to tell tone. I enjoy a “poke fun” attitude but i can see how that can be disrespectful if you can’t hear the joking tone it’s accompanied with.

i can respect that, after all it is still YOUR page, you have direct control over the interactions you wish to pursue. I personally love to argue, so it doesn’t really bother me when people play the contrarian, I just view that as another way to talk about something I love, in a way that I love.

I mean again, you live in a shared reality and are posting on a public platform that allows everyone in the shared reality, access to your thoughts and opinions. Those who are being disrespectful suck, but those trying to engage in honest dialogue shouldn’t be lumped in with the rest.

unfortunately we live in a shared reality and each person will experience that differently. I think opening the door to a conversation about pros and cons of a written work/any form of media only serves to strengthen both sides. The key is to be respectful when disagreeing, “make fun” not “hate on”
