Jellybox was great and gave a lot of direction, so by the time I started helping, David had a lot of notes for me from the get go- Basically I would draw the background in pieces, so David could chop them up and move them around in Maya.

I know some people who use a little arm thingy like this for embroidery so they don't have to hunch over! Kind of like one you would use for a microphone, except its got a little clamp on it! If you have a tabletop nearby it might be handy, and you could probably reasonably DIY one

Another point about Gachiakuta that I wanna mention, I think it has some of the best Black character designs I've ever seen in a manga and its so cool to see, especially in a manga that's so clearly inspired by streetwear, hip hop and other parts of Black culture.
