I'm talking w/ Paul Elie 7pm tonight at Harvard Book Store re: THE LAST SUPPER, his brilliant narrative history of "crypto-religious" ones--Warhol, Madonna, Rushdie, Prince, Dylan, Toni Morrison & and the collective dust they stirred up with Khomeini, Reagan, Jesse Helms et al. Seems relevant, no?
