I’m still thinking about this response cause, like ice cream is awesome even if you’re already cold, but this post was specifically having the rush of joy of hearing a dinky little tune, grabbing a couple dollars in cash, and interacting with a person on a personal level to obtain a sweet treat

"Birdbrain has more than 3 colors!!!!!!!" You can have different palettes for ever 8x8 square (not in this display image, but in the making process). It'd super limit your NES game having so many palettes used by one sprite, but it's fine for stand alone

Overall, despite complaining about it I’m excited to show everyone NEVEREND 1.5 when it eventually gets made. Making NEVEREND 2 after it will be interesting as well, all I’ll say is the 2 has some importance :) Anyways little game dev rambling over, go play NEVEREND it’s free

- higher levels (post final patch my high score for NEVEREND 1 is like 33 points which is not the most) so you’ll actually be able to encounter the strongest enemies. Still trying to retain the rogue like elements you can kinda see in NEVEREND 1 with random fights, upgrades, and levels to explore.

- to make it a game, but NEVEREND 1.5 while retaining the battle system will have multiple starting characters, an exploitable dungeon and at least one new enemy attached to how you collect upgrades. Monster level isn’t gonna scale after every fight either so you’ll have an easier time going to-

All for a 1.5 remake of NEVEREND as well, which is hype as shit I love what I did with NEVEREND and think it has potential to be great with tweaking, but it’s not even NEVEREND 2

One thing I'm not super satisfied with is I typically give myself 6 hair bumps, but she only has 4. Things to improve, things to improve...
