There are plenty of examples of former offensive HCs that go on to call plays for new defensive HCs, who haven’t worked together. Because there is real life tape on the scheme and play calls. Mike is going to want to call plays and LaFluer isn’t giving that up

I do not think Thomas Brown will be on anyone HC short list. I am sure the Bears will interview him but it might give them permission to hire a defensive minded HC and retain Thomas Brown as OC. Which I wouldn’t have a problem with in principle
