(BC) What’s forgotten is a lot of small towns already lost their ERs, even hospitals entirely, during earlier cuts in the 2000s.
That definition of small town rural seems to be getting bigger now. Not good.

Great book!! One of my favourites too. Eyes of the Dragon and The Langoliers (short story) are also big favourites here!

Capacity is built based on demand, the perennial Canadian problem is it’s cheaper not to, so we outsource …even with this nation building ‘mantra’ and building ‘big things’ looks like we still aren’t willing to invest in ourselves

Carbon: Biggest drop in emissions was during COVID. Fortunately things are semi-normal though but …why are we not incentivizing more work from home policies?? Spouse fully remote for 5 years just asked to return majority of week.

Sure but are Americans really punishing that example family? have we forgotten that these exact trade practices relying on exploited labour is what led to the Bangladeshi factory fire where over a hundred died? Like, what Trump is doing is nuts, but I don’t think THIS is the argument to make.
