I was just wondering the other day if you’d ever done an AMA! Someone in /r/trekbooks had recently discovered your work in that universe :)

I had something like that and was able to get it out with a pair of pliers made with extra teeth on the jaws specifically for pulling out screws with the barest amount of surface to grip. Mine were made by Vampire Tools (Vampliers) but there are a few companies making similar things.

The 1701D bottle opener is extremely painful to step on, and it’s happened to me multiple times since the magnet holding it together has the same enthusiasm for saucer separation that Shaxs does for warp core ejection.
