Dear Senator Collins:
I applaud your vote to reject Pete Hegseth as Defense Secretary. His glaring inexperience, his disdain for women/ transgender members of the military, his predilection for booze/ abuse of women are disqualifying, You stood against Trump's threats and voted your conscience.

If there are people in Maine who are organizing to protest Trump's DEI changes and his policies that discriminate against transgender, I want to know so I can stand to denounce what he is doing. I am writing to my Congress people, but I am preaching to the choir since they oppose his policies.

I wrote to AARP to encourage the CEO, Dr. Minter-Jordan, to consider mobilizing this organization to impact climate change. AARP lobbies for non-partisan causes, but I believe united senior citizens could impact the planet by withholding our buying power to force change on product packaging.
