When classical liberals/libertarians say 'small government,' we mean limited power and scope—not less democratic representation. Do you really not see that distinction? MAGA Republicans aren’t for small government in that sense.

Not true. The left pushes plenty of bans: “hate speech” laws (Europe/Canada), hiring below min wage, mandatory diversity quotas, gov’t pressure on social media to censor, bans on gas cars, soda/packaging bans. Different flavor, same authoritarianism.

True, some authoritarians on the right want to ban certain books. While certain authoritarians on the left want to ban the best tools for self-defense. I intend to resist both.

I'm a former professional poker player, have played in many such "underground" games. Yes, it's likely only poker was being played. That can be very lucrative on its own. It would be foolish to mix other illegal activity. If the Feds do have evidence of other crimes, indict them on it. How ignorant.

If there is evidence that he is being an accessory to organized crime doing something legitimately illegal, such as murder, fraud, theft, blackmail, etc, then sure he should be indicted for that. But that’s not what this is about.

The only real criminals here are the prosecutors & cops. Adults playing a card game should NEVER be illegal. This is just the state protecting itself & its cut, like the Mafia—except I respect the Mafia more because they don’t pretend to serve the public.

You probably think poll taxes, or their modern day equivalent, voter ID laws, aren’t racist either, huh? After all, those laws also apply equally to all races and sexes. You need to be educated on the racist origin and purpose of “gun control” laws going back to the post Civil Ear era.

I completely agree. We certainly wouldn’t want people of color in particular to have access to “weapons of war” that might enable them to stop ICE agents from doing their job of putting them into concentration camps.

There are only 2 policies which make rational sense: Either eliminate segregation by sex and make all sports open to everyone irrespective of identity, or else segregate by biological sex. The IOC has chosen the latter which is obv an improvement, though I’d prefer the former.

Actually, the claim that ‘redskin’ came from scalping and blood is a modern myth — linguists and historians, including at the Smithsonian, have found no evidence of that origin. You can argue the term has become offensive over time, but the blood/scalping story isn’t backed by the historical record.

Of course the government shouldn't concern itself with sportsball team names, but I would like the Redskins to change their name back. The only racists are those who think that name is racist.
