Creatives can make stuff however they like, but for me, games and films using GenAI is identical to finding an insect in my meal -- it immediately kills my appetite for a great dish, I don't really care how it got there, and it's effortless to eat somewhere else.

Using gen ai for text and asset placeholders is not solving a problem; games have been made for decades with regular placeholders. studios using AI this way are just testing the water to see what more they can get away with - which will inevitably mean laying off skilled workers, to make worse games

My prediction for the game awards is we get new Divinity, AC Black Flag remaster/remake, and FF7 Remake part 3 as the “big” announcements. And then the whole internet will be pissed there wasn’t Elder Scrolls or Half Life 3 and that the game awards suck.
