Added more depth to the paint on the staff and did a little tea/coffee dye on some linen I had lying around for the wrap on the staff!

Did some painting today! Want to go into the staff with more high and low lights when I can see it in natural daylight, but it feels like a respectable start

New hat band! It's a very wide, slightly shaped band lined with a much narrower band of the hat fabric so it scrunches down nicely. I'll slip stitch the bottom edge down and tack ir strategically so it requires minimal fussing

Texturing with the free form air has been an interesting experiment since it's notoriously sticky and annoying. I essentially did a very thin skim coat, sprayed it down with water, smoothed it with my (gloved, obviously) hand, and went at it with a toothpick and my wetted fingertip
