It’s a sad time when America’s two dads are fighting like this.

Ok, jokes aside, this highlights a real issues. Massive bills introduced & voted on before anyone has any real chance to read them. I have a solution. The “Time To Read” bill. Every 10 pages of a bill requires at least 1 day to read before it can be voted on. 20 pages 2 days, 1000 pages, 100 days.
Marjorie Taylor Greene admits she also didn’t read the GOP megabill she voted for
Slowly but surely, a growing number of House Republicans are learning more about the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” they voted for — and they're unimpressed.

Buried in the Big Beautiful Bill, Sec 70302 “No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued” Fun way to neuter the courts.

Can we have minimum work requirements for Congress?

No Tax on (Some) Tips! This is why politicians suck. Buried in the bill is an important distinction. Only applies to CASH tips THAT ARE REPORTED. One, few people tip in cash. Two, most servers don’t report cash tips. So this bill does basically nothing (for workers). No wonder it passed unanimously.
Senate unexpectedly passes the No Tax on Tips Act in a unanimous vote
The Republican-led Senate quickly passed the "No Tax On Tips Act," giving its official stamp of approval to an idea that has gained traction since Trump campaigned on it.

I need help understanding the tariff debate. On the one hand, every economist, businessperson, history, and a melting down global market leads me to believe they’re bad. But on the other hand, a felon with like 10 bankruptcies says “trust me.” I’m really on the horns of a dilemma here.

The issue with Dem leaders is that they never feed their base. When Repubs win, they shovel meat at their base. When Dems win, they tell the base to be patient while they shovel meat at GOP voters to try to win their vote. An army travels on its stomach, and the dems have been starving for decades.
