Universal health care, personally a plan for a just energy transition in Appalachia, a cease fire, more support for unions, a coherent statement in general other than “haha I’m not Joe Biden!”.

Okay, so I’m glad you agree on that. It shouldn’t be that hard to say but that’s whatever. We didn’t help Trump win. You can look this up. You can also look up how the White House at the time didn’t attempt to quash our concerns. They held all the pour and didn’t use it. That’s a massive problem.

I am. And so are my friends and family. I didn’t vote for Trump. I don’t endorse anything that he does. Do you not care about genocide? I’m sorry if that sounds harsh.

How am I selfish for prioritizing something like a vote when I do have a wonderful community that successfully defends marginalized communities? Hundreds of thousands of people in my community have not been killed.

I’m sorry, but can you elaborate as to how I can’t? I’ll consolidate this, you seem to not have a deeper understanding of this conflict beyond October 7th. That’s okay. It was a jarring event. Hamas was of course involved. It didn’t begin there.

I do care more about Palestine because hundreds of thousands have been killed in what the global community agrees is a genocide. I can protect my queer, immigrant, etc. loved ones in my community right now. I can’t protect the people in Palestine.

Again, if you think Hamas started Oct. 7th you are deeply misguided. I am a staunch leftist and as such do not back a Hamas government for the Palestinian people. I know their politics. Netanyahu doesn’t have to listen. If he runs out of bombs he stops. So no more bombs.

I am operating in good faith here. Why did the Biden administration not get a ceasefire through? I too care about my friends and neighbors, but the stakes of genocide are the highest. Just answer my first question. That is all I’m asking.
