Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (Switch)

FINALLY got around to this and damn this is good. I had a bit more difficulty with this than the mainline games, but I think I was just rusty. I WILL do Investigations 2 soon.

Also, holy shit that ambassador is more annoying than Von Karma!

Pokemon Scarlet - The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC (Switch 2)

Like Sw/Sh, surprisingly good for a DLC, though I think the Switch 2 upgrade did most of the heavy lifting here. I loved Carmine and Kieran as characters and the new Pokemon are good all around. ZA's right around the corner!

Destiny 2 - The Edge of Fate (PC)

The narrative was surprisingly good. Everything else... eeeeeehhhhhhhhhh. Probably waiting till Renegades at this point.

(tbh I liked the 200-400 grind in the Portal. I felt more engaged in that than anything in the past 4 years. But 400+ is such a buzzkill)

My Hero Academia Vigilantes (Season 1)

Surprisingly very good? Loved the slight style change and the story was pretty decent, though nothing groundbreaking. Fights were well done imo. Hopefully S2 will be even better. Unlike regular MHA, I'm not following the manga, so I'll be blind for the anime.

Zelda BoTW Switch 2 Edition

Figured I'd put this here since it is technically new. Absolutely loved playing this game again at 60 fps. Literally made it feel like playing it in 2017 again. Ended up doing all shrines on a master mode playthrough for what it's worth.

Yakuza 0 - Director's Cut

Why did they add the cutscenes that mess with the story. They feel so out of place. It's like they tried to make this the "Definitive Version" of the story but did it the complete wrong way. This is still a great game though, and I recommend it to all.

Mario Kart World (Switch 2)

A fun Mario Kart. I love the concept of intermission tracks (is that what they're called?), but it does make some races feel a bit boring. The open world is cool, but feels like there's not too much to do in it. Everything else is good though. The new tricks are sick.

Celeste (PC)

As someone who isn't the biggest Metroidvania/ 2D Platformer fan, I enjoyed this. Movement feels good and the story gives a message that hits close to home. I beat all Bs but didn't complete Cs or chapter 9. Those are a little too much for me, but maybe I'll come back to it one day.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PC)

Basically more Yakuza 7 gameplay wise, and that's not a bad thing! Feels like how TotK is to BotW. Was not expecting Kiryu to be more important than Ichiban in the story. Would definitely recommend to any RPG fan (but play 7 first). Now I just need to play 1-6...

Gotta update that thread soon with the stuff I've played/watched in the last few months..

Xenoblade Chronicles X DE (Switch)

My first time beating this! Story was fine, but it was the exploration that was the main focus. Loved flying around in a Skell listening to Don't worry! Overdrive is so much fun once you learn it. It does struggle a bit on Switch 1 though, hope it gets a 2 upgrade
