Five Iron Frenzy is the rare band whose music keeps getting better. I genuinely like each of the albums more than the last! The songwriting gets better, more nuanced, more fun.

THE END IS NEAR / HERE is such a great singalong, and an interesting case of a band looking back on their legacy in song.
"The End Is Here" album cover! Over an uneasy green painted backdrop, a stylized character in a lab coat and goggles holds and studies a golf club. The band broke up after this album, so it features a lot of introspection; studying the Five Iron! On the left, big hand lettering says FIVE IRON FRENZY, and beneath that in small text, "THE END IS NEAR." But Near is crossed out, with "Here" scribbled underneath. This was originally released as two album; "Near" is a bunch of new studio recordings, while "Here" is a live recording of their "final" show. Lucky for us, they got back together almost 10 years later, and have released several VERY good albums since!

Jackson’s dissent is not a mere disagreement with a colleague’s judgment. She is demonstrating that what her colleagues are doing isn’t even judging; laws have little to no bearing on the outcome of their decisions, which are determined instead by Republican policy goals. For a long time, members of the public and the coordinate branches of government have accepted the Supreme Court’s rulings because they assumed, from the outside looking in, that it is a legitimate body to be taken seriously. Jackson is showing why it is not.
