Picked the names? So you KNEW ITS WORSE to assume someones name like you cruelly did to me. I was lucky in that I was assigned a fairly gender-neutral name from childhood. But many people are not so fortunate and shame on you for assuming otherwise.

"wally" absolutely is. I'm sorry you don't understand Scots/Glaswegian word origins. A wally was turn of the century slang for The William, the last shipyard worker out of the gate and into the pub. Turning up last meant they were the last to get a round in. Hence the gendered aspect. Do BETTER
