Subject: Union Made Lemonade at the SPK 2025 Picnic! USACE Family, Like everyone else, we are looking forward to basking in the sun and enjoying the company of peers at this year's SPK 2025 Picnic! We will be setting up refreshments, games, and treats outside of the immediate picnic area for the enjoyment of all of those interested in building our community, chatting about the current state of our efforts, our plans to move forward, and how we can best align ourselves with the interests of those represented by the future IFPTE Local 777 - SPK Chapter. Park Address: 601 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95816 Time: 0900-1400 We will be set up outside of the SPK picnic area, to abide by leadership’s wishes. This actually could serve as a silver lining for us as organizers, and you as interested parties by allowing us to communicate openly and honestly amongst ourselves about what WE as a Union can do to best offset, mitigate, or resolve challenges being faced post return to office. We will have Union Made Lemonade, cold and ready to be served as well as iced tea, a variety of syrups to jazz our drinks up, snacks, ladder golf, jenga, and badminton set up and ready to go to blow off steam and socialize while we talk strategy, bring you up-to-date on our progress, and listen to each others wants, struggles, and overall experiences since returning to full-time in person work. Tell your section mates! Our goal is to spend 80% of our time listening to the challenges YOU have faced over the last few months. Bring a coworker so that we can hear them out too! Would you like to contribute? Got any games? Bring them! We’d love to chat over a fun activity. A favorite snack? Bring it! A dog? WE LOVE DOGS! We’ll even bring dog treats. JUST COME HAVE FUN! We had another successful day of tabling for interest cards this past Tuesday! Keep an eye out for us in the lobby.

Don't forget to submit a photo of your signed interest card through our digital intake form, available on our website, AND submit the physical copy to one of our committee members!

This was our FIRST tabling event and yes purposefully planned during the Commander's townhall. The organizing committee is planning more tabling not only to collect interest cards but stay connected with our colleagues. If you'd like to volunteer to table please reach out to usacesaclocal@gmail.com

Chaotic times right now, AND we're still working together to help one another through these uncertain times. We affiliated with Sac Labor Council; we're tied into the labor movement. We are connected with IFPTE legal support. We are MORE motivated bc stripping us of our rights is just damn wrong.
