getting the lip sync to look good has been pretty frustrating (i'm using PNGTube Remix). there aren't much documentation or tutorials on the lip sync configuration so i've just been trying to experiment to find what looks best. and i think i made too many mouth sprites in the process as well LOL

that site is so unbearable to be on. the only reason i keep my account on there is to follow a few vtubers i like that are active on there (and not here), and to make sure no one impersonates me on there 😭

I went to SXSW this year and they also had some game developer stuff for people. Albeit, SXSW is not primarily focused on JUST the gaming industry. (2/2)

i can only give answers in the U.S. since that’s what I’m most familiar with (but the gaming industry in this country is massive). Austin, Dallas, San Francisco are probably the 3 biggest hubs for game developers here.

some good game developer conventions to go to are GDC, PAX East, and (1/2)

there are some game engines that are more focused for those who prioritize more on story than gameplay! (RPGMaker, Renpy) but even then i know that’s easier said than done. we’ll get something out to show eventually!!

for me what helps is trying to work a little on it every day if you can. it’s easy to bite off more than you can chew when it comes to being a game dev (especially solo dev). you got this!
