Not the same shade as yours, mind you. But not far off either.” Jim blinks. He looks up at Bones. “How the hell would I possibly know that if you didn’t tell me?” “My Starfleet record. Always figured you’d hacked the redacted parts when we were back at the Academy. Or Old Spock could’ve told you.” “What?” “Which part?” “All of it?” Bones smiles easily. The ache in Jim’s sternum increases. “Get your uniform hung up and I’ll tell you a story.”
