I am a retired educator and consultant, a blue living in a red state. I love reading, writing, dancing, chatting with good friends, needlework, the ocean, forests, mountains, and lazy white clouds in a blue sky.
My husband has been battling cancer since 2022. My endodontist found a cancer on my tongue this year. My husband and I had cancer surgeries 4days apart. I was able to be with him for his. I am so sorry for your family. Prayers and good thoughts.

You are definitely a better knitter than I am!

Yes, that happens. Always check if it’s cheaper without your insurance. I have pretty good insurance, so this is never the case for me.

It is certainly obvious to me. This is the beginning of a short slide into dictatorship if something isn’t done very soon. He told everyone he would be a dictator. He isn’t worried about re-election, as he told us we’d never have to vote again if he was elected.

One person was escorted out and the yelling stopped. I was hoping they would all get up and leave en masse. Anyway. If they don’t rise up and somehow quash this attempt at gouging Medicaid, I will know we’ve lost. I don’t need it, but so many people do.

I thought it was obvious during his first presidency. I cannot even begin to comprehend why anyone voted for him. We have to do whatever we can to resist.

Shows what their promises are worth. Totally depends on the which group is in power.

So very, well, to put it bluntly, stupid.

I will stream it as soon as possible. It sounds like a good example of what could happen here.

Beautiful! Such wonders.

Love it!

Agreed. I was in education. The pay was egregious, especially considering how many hours we actually put in and the amount of our own money we spent. It is nice to be recognized, but a fair wage is better. I imagine you have it much worse than I did.

Surely this doesn’t come as a surprise.

Good night to you, blue friend. 💙

Wow. Healthy!
January 5, 2025 at 6:41 AM
Well, I really needed to hear that, especially today. Thank you, my friend.

I can hardly believe someone said that! Reading = Elitist. Wow. Well I guess I’ve been elitist since I was a kid! No wonder so many voted red.

Fantastic picture. Keep them coming.

Becoming disabled is very difficult. I had to quit work. Losing all the connections from a workspace is just debilitating. I have fibromyalgia and went through a very intense time at one point. Plus it is an “invisible disability.” You look okay. People do tend to fade away. So sorry.

I agree. I would add a realistic class size, the reinstatement of civics classes, and the teaching of critical thinking skills beginning in kindergarten (yes, it can be done). After this last election, one can see that critical thinking skills are severely lacking in this population.

Yes. Look around, people. Quit staring straight ahead and look around.
