TLDR:

Typo = fast typer and bad proofreader, which is true of me.

Misspell = dumb and ignorant and a bad proofer, which is less true of me.

But when someone says "you mispelled 'that,'" smoke erupts from my ears. I know how to spell "t-h-a-t." I have known how it is spelled since kindergarden. It's so clearly a typographical error, and not a spelling error.

Reading the word "taht," it's very clear that the average person understands that the word should be spelled "t-h-a-t," and that speedy typing made for a typo instead of a misspelling.

All I could think about was the crap I would get from people who would assume I didn't know who Norman Rockwell was, or people who thought that I believed his name was actually Normal.

I was proofing my Thanksgiving edition of my newspaper column, and I mentioned the artist Norman Rockwell. Through either typo or a poor autocorrect, upon my proofread, I saw that it had been typed out as "Normal" Rockwell.

Yes! Same director in fact! It's a trilogy of films, with The World's End being the third. All three are excellent and among my favorite movies of all time.

This is also me tempting fate to have WVU climb back from a 34-3 deficit and win in the last 17 mins of the game and leave me with a sour grapes record of my fickle fandom.
