honorable mentions are Kingdom Hearts II and any of the DS Pokemon games. There are games I love that are objectively better, but the games I formed a bond with as a child will always be the most special.

Super Mario Galaxy is very special to me. It blew my mind as a kid and left a lasting impression for years. I had always been obsessed with space as a child and Mario games were some of my favorite games. Nostalgia aside, its got some of the best gameplay of any 3D Mario game.
