Offered up an easy political win for the Republicans, and not once entertained the idea that would actually help Americans, privacy protections, because their corporate donors don't want them too because big tech makes billions off our data. But no, please, I'm just a right wing operator. 2/2.

I get a kick out of posts like this because all I can think about is the tiktok ban and how it's a perfect encapsulation of the Democratic party. They simultaneously allowed the other side to control the messaging, allowed political fear to control their actions, 1/1

The Dream Act in 2010, before McConnell took it back. The Build Back Better Act in 2021. The Voting Rights Legislation in 2021. All the concessions in the ACA should be mentioned. If I'd been keeping a journal I'd recount times they abandoned bills based on the threat of a filibuster.

Yet Republicans have had no problem throwing wrenches into Democrat agendas when they were in the minority. This idea that these people have no power is ridiculous. Either they fucked us when they had power by doing nothing, or they can do something now. He can tell us which one it is.

Hey Mr representative, can y'all do something that shows us the rule of law matters and isn't just something the powerful use to rule us? I hope you all realize that showing everyone that laws are optional won't work out well for those in power, historically speaking.
