same!! this was how i excelled in tech marketing. I was like, i can research these dense concepts all day and make sense of them to communicate them in any format for whatever audience you need. after years of doing that in school, none of that was intimidating.

yeah, some tech jobs are like that & the money's good but it's mind-numbing. i'm looking for a new job in library admin that would pay a lot more & be quite a bit more work but—exactly, would be more engaging. i'd be willing to give my energy to something actually aligned with my values

i worked in tech marketing for about a decade and making that money was a GRIND. i will be healing from that burnout for years. in nonprofit comms, i make about half now what i did 5 years ago, which feels weird career-wise, but i'm stoked not to girlboss every day
