Tuesday November 18 2025 Trump welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the White House where in a tense Question Answer portion of the visit he attacked an ABC News correspondent Mary Bruce after she asked the prince why Americans should trust him after he helped orchestrate the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. While the prince said he regretted it, Trump said it was Khashoggi’s fault as “a lot of people didn’t like” him. If Trumps attack on a murdered journalist wasn't bad enough he also said the FCC should take away ABC's broadcast license for being critical of Trump. Congress passed the "Epstein Files Transparency Act" 427 to 1 in the house and unanimously in the senate. The bill forces the release all files and communications related to Epstein and his death, but can have redactions for victims privacy and ongoing investigations. This is a very public rebuke of Trump, Bondi, Kash Patel, and Speaker Johnson who all said there’s nothing there. Federal judges block Texas redistricting House maps as they are racially gerrymandered and would harm Black and Hispanic voters

Sunday November 16, 2025 The first winter rains in the Gaza strip flooded makeshift shelters and tents where many live after 2 years of devastating attacks. While many in Gaza are focused on survival, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed to oppose any attempt to establish a Palestinian state, a day before a UN Security Council vote for a UN mandate that would establish an international stabilization force and leave the door open for statehood. (many nations already recognize Palestine) Pope Leo XIV called upon world leaders to "Listen to the cry of the poorest. There can be no peace without justice." Meanwhile across the US immigration was on the minds of many and mass arrests in Charlotte lead to many empty pews. Meanwhile other church leaders spoke from the heart during mass. Faith leaders in congregations across the US have joined protests and been brutally attacked by ICE alongside their communities.

Gregory Bovino who's led other violent raids in Los Angeles and Chicago was seen with agents raiding a Home Depot. ICE and Border Patrol agents kidnapped people from a church yard in front of kids, pulled people from cars, and detained people hanging Christmas lights. Local leaders have said this is entirely unwanted, and many in the community filmed raids and tried to help their neighbors.

Sketch of Trump, Epstein, and Gaetz As people read the 20,000 emails from sex trafficker Epstein and the many rich and powerful people who kept in touch after his 2008 conviction of having solicited sex from a girl (he kept in touch with folks ranging from Noam Chomsky to Steve Bannon (who he advised on how to make connections to right wing organizers in Europe)) the detalls of former GOP congressman Matt Gaetz were published. Matt Gaetz raped a homeless girl, who was drugged and prostituted repeatedly by a Florida tax collector and Gaetz friend, while at a party with GOP lobbyists and former elected officials. It seems the theme of sexual assault of minors is highly normal amongst powerful men who engaged in both the sexual assaults and the cover up. Meanwhile Hegseth bombed a 20th boat in an unauthorized attack on a supposed drug smuggler (no proof)

Friday November 7, 2025 The US Government has been shutdown for 38 days. The Trump admin sued for an administrative stay from the Supreme court to block SNAP payments, which they were granted. Some states had already sent out payments, others have stopped as they're unsure what federal reimbursments wil come, 1 in 8 Americans and 1 in 5 children rely on SNAP for preventing hunger. SCOTUS heard a case in a closed door hearing to revisit the legality of same-sex marriages after a former clerk who refused to issue licenses appealed a lower court ruling. The long shot appeal asks if government workers have a right to discriminate based on their beliefs when acting as a government official. Judge Karin Immergut ruled Trump did not have legal authority tor sending troops to Portland, this followed a trial in which the government presented evidence, but the 106-page opinion confirmed earlier temporary rulings... it was an illegal troop deployment.

Friday October 31 2025 The US Government is STILL Shutdown and GOP Speaker of the House has kept the House of Representatives in Recess. This means Mike Johnson has cancelled 5 weeks of work even as shutdown pains continue to mount. Meanwhile Trump has gone to Florida for a Halloween party, sharing photos of a bathroom renovation in the Lincoln Bedroom. Meanwhile two federal judges ordered Trump to use the emergency reserve Congress funded to continue SNAP payments for 42 million Americans. The cases were brought forward by Democratic led states and cities challenging the GOP willingness to starve people. China's shenzhou21 spaceship successfully docked with their Tiangong Space station, breaking their previous record for docking time.

The senate made similar changes for pushing through 150 judicial nominees to confirm them without Democratic votes, but kept the filibuster for other cases. Meanwhile the house hasn’t been in session at all this month. Millions of people will lose food assistance this week as the Trump admin won’t use the contingency funds available for SNAP. Wednesday October 29 2025 The US Goremment is STILL Shutdown. He said... what now? Trump is meeting Xi Jinping in Sorth Korea and has signaled he's open to allowing China to buy NVIDIA Blackwell superchips as part of trade negotiations. The value of these chips in Al applications led to NVIDIA’s valuation crossing $5 trillion today. Minutes before the meeting was scheduled to begin Trump posted he’s allowing the Department of Defense (or war) to start testing nuclear weapons "on an equal basis". The US has not done such tests in 33 years. Both his trade and military announcement have drawn swift criticism. Trump admin holds military briefing for GOP senators and doesn’t invite Democrats on the Armed Services Committee. This comes as Hegseth announced another boat strike. The fed cut interest rates despite "flying blind" due to some labor statisties being no longer available. This is despite inflation being elevated Google celebrated earnings of more than $100 billion this quarter US will share nuclear submarine tech with South Korea, Trump announced. The Huricane Melissa has left 80-90% of roofs destroyed in Jamaica where 77%% of the country is without power

Tuesday October 28 2025 Catugory 5 Hurricane Melissa brought floods, 185 mph winds, landslides, roofs blown off homes and due to the storm being ongoing, its too early to assess the damage. Officials have warned people to also watch out for displaced crocodiles who are also impacted by the storm. ICE illegally deported an Alabama man to Laos despite a federal court order blocking such removal. The ACLU is representing him and called the deportation a "stunning violation of a federal court order." One monkey remains loose after a truck carrying monkeys used for animal testing crashed in Mississippi. The monkey has hep C, herpes and covid. The other loose monkeys were killed by law enforcement.

He urged countries in preparation for next months Cop 30 climate Summit to commit to work to limit the overshoot to as limited a time as possible. If we do not dramatically cut emissions as soon as possible we may hit irreversible tipping points forever altering ecosystems from the Amazon to the Arctic. He urged world leaders to work with Indigenous communities to better be guardians and harmonious partners with nature. The US Government is still shutdown. Sunday October 19 2025 The US. Government is still shut down. Social media is full of photos and videos from millions of people who protested Trump yesterday, but most newspapers put coverage below the fold. Trump posted an Al generated video of himself as a King, flying a fighter jet, and dropping literal shit on protests. None of the sunday morning talk shows covered the presidents poop-parade video. Dozens of Palestinians were killed by Israeli strikes in a ceasefire breakdown that led to the halting of aid trucks, multiple attacks, and 44 deaths. Israel blames a shooting on IDF soldiers in an area Hamas dose not control as the reason for the strikes. Trumps celebration of the military led to a freeway closure in which shraprel from live artillery hit a CA police vehicle and closed the highway for hours due to risks In a quick heist, thieves used a truck mounted ladder to break into the Louvre and steal royal jewels trom the museum.

Friday October 17 2025 The US. Government is still shutdown. As open enrollment begins for 2026 many Americans are discovering that their healthcare premiums could double without congressional action. Senate Democrats have held firm on demanding healthcare funding. Meanwhile the House is not in session and House Demoerats can’t even find GOP colleagues to talk to. The congressional budget office estimates the price changes will cause 2 million Americans to drop coverage altogether. Trump again shows he believes the last person who talked to him as after a long call with Putin shifts his stance on selling Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. He now wants Ukraine to give up territory and stop the war at current battle lines. Zelensky tried to argue for a ceasefire to negotiate without agreeing to such land rights.

Thursday October 16 2025 The US Government is still shutdown. Democrats in congress want to both ensure heathcare prices do not double as people sign up for open enrollment starting next month, and get assurances Trump will stop unilaterally claw back funds from congressional appropriations. He's both outright ignored congressional budgets, and had the GOP use a simple majority to make cuts undoing deals previously negotiated breaking down trust. Dems want any deal to include legislation that would prevent Trump from overriding Congress and undoing any deal. Jonn Bolton, former Trump National security Advisor, was indicted for mishandling classified information. The investigation began during Biden’s term and continued under Trump. He emailed notes and state secrets to accounts that were later hacked into by Iran. He wanted to write a book with the material. Head of the US Military's Southern command is stepping down. Adm. Alvin Holsey has overseen recent strikes on boats off the coast of Venezuela and is leaving the 3 year command post early. It is unclear if he is being pushed out for being Black or choosing to retire due to the mission's unauthorized strikes.

Thursday October 9 2025 Two troops are talking to each other, one says: “I’m going to Israel. You?” The other replies: “Chicago” The US Government is still shut down. Israel approved the Phase I plan to end the war in Gaza with both Trump and Hamas publicly saying the war is over. Trump is sending 200 troops to Israel to help with logistics. The plan is a ceasefire begins within 24 hours, with Israeli withdrawl from current lines to control 53% of Gaza after which 72 hours to return all hostages while the international community sends aid in. Federal Judge April Perry ruled against Trump's move to send 500 troops into Chicago saying she had "seen no credible evidence that there is a danger of a rebellion" Trump continues to attack his perceived enemies, and has indicted New York Altoney General Letitia James who called the charges baseless.

A right-wing scorched earth military approach was taken, denying negotiations and starting a campaign now labled genocide by experts. More than 67,000 Palestinians killed. (20,000 children) which is 1 of 33 people in Gaza At least 169,000 Palestinians injured some with life-altering wounds. (1 of 14 people in Gaza 125 hospitals and clinics damaged. 1,722 health workers killed. 1 in 4 children is malnourished and 154 documented cases of children dying of starvation 658,000 school age kids lost access to schools due to bombings. And with 270 journalists killed it’s been the deadliest conflict to cover outpacing WWI, WWII, Civil war combined.

Sunday October 5 2025 Federal government harassment in Chicago is being ramped up. This week there has been a helicopter raid on an apartment building, children zip tied and taken from parents, warrantless arrests, shooting at protesters, and the Department of Homeland Security has been glorifying these tactics. Secretary Noem posted a montage of raid footage set to music saying “Chicago, we’re here for you” Meanwhile Trump tried to get around a judge stopping use of the Oregon national guard in Portland, leading him to order California National Guard there. In an emergency ruling tonight the judge said this was also illegal both under federal law and the 10th amendment, which protects state sovereignty. Protests in Portland have tried to highlight the absurdity with things like a tea party, inflatable frog costume, pajamas, and whimsy onesies. The “war zone" isn't one.

Friday October 3, 2025 Closer To Peace? Maybe? Hamas has agreed to free all remaining hostages while negotiating for a peace deal, while disagreeing about the current peace proposal’s direction for the future of Palestine. Trump has demanded Israel stop bombing, and Israeli protesters blocked troops on route to Gaza demanding the Flotilla of aid be allowed into Gaza. Israel has told IDF forces to reduce operations to a minimum. However previous pauses for aid led to further attacks so things could obviously change, but it seems many international leaders are supporting this effort to end the war. US.Government still shut down The US shot down another boat off the coast of Venezuela killing 4 people, we’re not at war with Venezuela so again this is illegal murder. Taylor Swift's newest album The Life of a Showgirl came out today.

Tuesday September 30, 2025 The US has begun a Government Shutdown as of midnight eastern time. GOP leaders posted racist lies and fake content about Dem leaders after their negotiation. Dems have said that they would provide votes only if the GOP cuts to healthcare were reversed. Dems were in congress today but many GOP leaders didnt even show up. This is the third government shutdown under President Trump while his party controls both cambers. Both parties have proposals and are blaming the other for the shutdown. "We should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military." - President Trump told 800 generals and admirals today Judge rules Trump's targeting immigrant Pro-Palestine speech is illegal. Do immigrants get the same 1st amendment protections? The Judge says “unequivocally, Yes they do”

Monday September 29, 2025 It's now in the presidents hands -chuck Schumer Their ideas are not very good ones - Trump US Government on the Brink of Shutdown. Trump had his first meeting with all 4 congressional leaders of both chambers during this term to discuss next steps. The GOP has unilaterally made huge cuts to healthcare earlier this year and Democrats are demanding restoration of funding for their votes. Dems didn’t fight on the last budget negotiation angering much of their base then. Trump and Netanyahu announce a draft peace plan that will be presented to Palestinians soon All US Generals will meet tomorrow in Virginia, a first that is widely seen as risky.

Sunday September 28 2025 New York Mayor Eric Adams drops out of mayoral race where he was polling at 9%, far behind front runner Mandani The Pro-EU party won a majority of votes in Moldova despite claims of Russian interference. The Party of Action and Solidarity had 50% of votes with Russian backed Patriotic Elector Bloc getting 24% of the vote. 58 million pounds of corndogs have been recalled due to wood pieces that have lead to at least 5 injuries so far. Products manufactured up til this Friday could be impacted. A former Marine, 40 year old Thomas Sanford drove a truck with two flags on it into a Mormon church in Michigan before killing 4 and wounding 8 people inside.

July 16 1947 - 9/25/25 Courts are again reducing the power of congress as the supreme court's conservative majority allowed the president to withhold $4 billion in foreign aid congress authorized. Under the seperation of powers congress should control the budget but Trump and his allies are eroding that role. Empty seats as delegates at the UN walk out in protest during Netanyahu’s speech where he says Israel will continue its war insisting he "Must finish the job " Prince Andrews and Elon Musk are both in recently released Epstein files that the House Oversight committee recieved. Other names in Epstein’s calendar include Peter Thiel, Bill Gates, Steve Bannon- who did not comment

Wednesday September 24, 2025 Typhoon Ragasa the so called "King of Storms" made landfall. 14 people died in Taiwan where a bridge collapsed after a lake overflowed. Hong Kong came to a standstill as 116 mile per hour winds hit and waves taller than lampposts hit the coastline and the airport was closed for 36 hours. More than 2 million people were evacuated from Guangdong province before the storm made landfall, with gusts of 150 miles per hour recorded. Assessments of damage are still coming in. 121 Countries met to discuss their progress and efforts to fight climate change at the UN Climate Summit. The US did not attend and the absence said everything.
