Figure shows 5G+ coverage. Town selected was Mansfield. Probably only one or two towers near Mansfield support 5G +.

One of the issues in Indi is telecommunications. Like
most of us they’ve been screwed over by the NBN and closure of the 3G network for over-hyped and illusory 5G and 5G+ services. However they are served better than other parts of rural Australia. Figure shows 4G coverage.

We need politicians with a brain and a heart. These are things she’s asked the Federal Treasurer to do for Indi.

Meanwhile Scotland generates 70% of its electricity from renewables and has many renewable energy projects in the pipeline. Dutton is wilfully blind to the dramatic changes occurring elsewhere and would make us pay ever increasing health, environmental and economic costs from his policy.

Trunt had an older meaning. It seems appropriate to shout Trunt, Trunt!

Price is a grub, liar and coward. The meeting was not private. She didn’t want any Indigenous people to attend, so the event was cancelled.

The ABC reports that a Ningi man was arrested today by police for attempting to steal a generator powering traffic lights at Caboolture. The the report didnt say he was ‘known to police’. The map shows hotspots in Ningi for crimes of ‘other theft’ such as today’s attempt might be classified.

There was 100% of the Wivenhoe flood storage compartment available, and Somerset is using 0.1% of its flood storage compartment. The Little Nerang and Hinze dams, ungated dams on the Gold Coast, are both spilling water.

Moreton Island saved Brisbane and areas to its north. The close approach to North Stradbroke Island may have contributed to its loss of energy followed by more loss when nearing Moreton and a subsequent fall to Cat 1. Then Alfred lost more energy in crossing Moreton Island to become a tropical low.

Gold Coast City and the southern end of Redland City appeared to suffer the most damage. This is because they were to the south of the cyclone. The southern & western eyewall, with the most destructive winds, was over these areas. BOM radar on Oz Weather.
March 8, 2025 at 4:05 AM
There’s a cyclone heading for major population centres and Sandy Cape weather station hasn’t been online for 408 days. The bureaucrats at the BOM seem intent on destroying organisational capacity. They’d rather spend money on name changes. Messaging is more important to them than doing meteorology.

In all likelihood this won’t be the last zoonotic outbreak. The global community ignored the first outbreak of Mpox in 1996 before it took off again in 2023 and spread globally. In a monograph I wrote 5 months ago I warned we may become trapped in an endless cycle of zoonotic infections.

Agreed nothing to do with FAA but also unlikely there was any Canadian controller error. Landing is the flight stage where most accidents occur. Pilot can go-around or
divert.

News Corp is rallying to his defence once again.

In 2022 he admits to having lied but said he did so for a good reason— national security. Is wanting to win an election a good reason?
February 23, 2025 at 10:42 AM
Be sceptical. Request ‘the receipts’. Causality illusions & confirmation bias rampant. I’ve been countering belief that US ‘planes are suddenly dropping out of the sky’. NTSB data shows around 2-3 per day. Most crashes are stochastic events that can be clustered in time. No FAA nexus with Toronto.
February 23, 2025 at 2:42 AM
The ABC’s editorial policy seems to be don’t let the facts stand in the way of a good story. Though it could be far more sinister. For example, back in October 2022 It labelled the trial of a man for rape as the ‘Higgins trial’, as if the victim were on trial.
February 22, 2025 at 7:09 AM
Computer says ‘no’.
February 21, 2025 at 7:09 AM
That’s nonsense. Plane crashes happen all the time, its just that they often don’t get reported outside of local media. There’s been 2-3 plane crashes per day in the US for years. The accident had nothing to do with the FAA, it was an uncontrolled airport like the vast majority of US airports.
