Kinda made this thread cuz I got sick of people on this site saying shit like "WOODY WOODPECKER WAS NEVER GOOD AND IS JUST ANNOYING" or "WOODY WAS ONLY GOOD IN THE 40'S, EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS" when it isn't true in the slightest

It's just really lame in general to act as if ALL those studios made only "bad" cartoons and that there isn't any worth to discussing them imo

I can assure you that Walter Lantz, Screen gems, Famous Studios, Van Beuren etc. have their fair share of funny cartoons no matter what Leonard Maltin's glorious animation book says. Take a risk and go watch some of their shorts instead of following 'toon dogma all your life
