Imagine a kid in school when they grow up they want to help make the planet uninhabitable for future generations. We would consider that kid unwell. I again feel the same about adults, except that these people, and the ones who hire them, should be put in prison for life.

The only difference is there are people paid to make them think that way. There are lobbiests and others who's job it is to convince others to allow oil companies continue to destroy the planet.
