What a difference a year makes! Maisie a year ago today, just starting to recover from a life on the streets, riddled with dental disease, and now--filled out, soft, healthy, happy.

Maisie, the cat I adopted a year ago, has somehow decided to wake me up every morning with Intense Cuddles.
She is fairly touch-shy the rest of the day, but in the morning, she now climbs on my chest, purring and drooling and kneading, and curls up against my heart.
I'm so lucky.

Today's Maisie's Gotcha Day! She's been with us for a year now. I love my crazy little silly girl. She got to enjoy treats and lots of extra playtime today.

This #Caturday, please meet Maisie. The first is a picture from 11 months ago, the second from yesterday. The shelter estimated her to be 4+ when we adopted her, my vet said even older, but it turns out her bad teeth were due to juvenile periodontal disease. She's definitely grown a LOT this year!
