We faced this in Australia - a science hostile government was elected and axed fisheries staff and disbanded consultative committee and advisory groups. Ten years on, the impacts of that shortsightedness remain, and the industry has suffered the most from it.

I ditched twitter years ago, it’s was just so negative. I’m finding bluesky much more positive - e.g. the posts appear in timeline order (no playing algorithm games) and there’s a thread for only the people you follow. Much nicer and cleaner.

Yeah - and the crazy thing is I live about 20 mins drive from this beach. The Philippines is amazing 🤩

I used to gave a series of notebooks, colour coded and everything - and I could never find them or remember which notebook was for what project or train of thought 😂. They looked awesome though when I could find them all and stack them in a bookshelf 😳
