On my way home this afternoon, I spied The Stone Home, a charming tiny stone cottage built in 1849 by Nicholas Schwab and which is still owned by the Schwab descendants. Commute series #13, The Stone Home, Queen City Avenue, Cincinnati Ohio.

Looking through some vintage cookbooks to see if they’re keepers or if I can put them on eBay and found this gem. 😬🤔
SEVEN LAYER CASSEROLE Helen Enright Stir 2 beaten eggs and 1-1/2 cups milk into l cup pancake mix. Bake about 1/4 cup batter at a time in a buttered 8" frying pan to make 8 pancakes. Have ready 1/2 lb finely chopped bologna, 2 cups grated cheddar cheese and 2 cans (about 1 lb. each) drained asparagus spears. Make 7 alternate layers of pancakes, bologna, cheese and asparagus in buttered shallow 6 cup baking dish. Pour mixture of 2 eggs beaten with 1/2 cup milk over, top with remaining pancake. Bake in moderate oven 350 for 1 hour or until set. Top with 1/2 cup sour cream
