The thing that separates SNK from all the others is the lore. Southtown allows SNK to be grounded or have a focal point that allows stories to flourish. The generational conflicts stemming from when Geese was younger going to beyond his death is just 1 example.

I'm still working on learning Mandarin Chinese. If I had the time & money & I'd do an extended immersive study in China. I really really wanna get a good grasp of this language. This HSK1 app has done wonders with helping me learn simplified characters.
