It's been a lot of fun trying to learn how to build 100 card decks in the singleton format. I can't seem to get a deck to behave like a 60 card deck but I suppose that is to be expected.
Anyway, pulled a few cool cards today and will continue to try and figure out mono black.

Having everyone kind of laugh and tell me "nobody plays standard anymore except on Arena" and that if I want to find a game, EDH will be what to play.
I was shocked, Standard is all I played but after dipping my toes back in I can see why it's not played - who the heck can keep up?

I also find it wild that M:tG has gone the full FOMO / Games Workshop business model. It's what pushed me to take a big step back from Warhammer and into other tabletop games (shoutout to Malifaux).
However, as a casual hobby, this is fine for when I don't want to bust out the minis.

I also understand that now all the colors have names and I'm being "old man yells at clouds" by not calling the colors by their names but it's just because I haven't memorized them all yet.

The term "mean" is used in quite a few videos about things like discard or land destruction and apparently EDH is not a "mean" format.
I'm working on a U/B/W zombies deck, G/B elf deck, and mono black deck that I can't seem to decide on yet.

You see, I went through a period of playing MtG back in the day from Apocalypse (was just about to drop when I started) and stopped at Onslaught. I even had a DCI card at one point. (Don't get me wrong, I wasn't good) but imagine my surprise looking at those cards and seeing today's cards...
