In an ideal universe, earnest artists would not be put into a position where they need AI to give them a boost. In a less ideal universe, they would be able to leverage AI to overcome some of their systemic obstacles. In this universe, it just feeds yet another empty, cannibalistic consumer complex.

I don't pretend to have any power to offer consolation or comfort, but for what it's worth, I feel this so closely I've said the same thing in different words. I sometimes have a hard time believing there is continuity between me-before and me-now, like a chameleon imperceptibly changing color.

I know it's not helpful but my personal conclusion is that they're mutually exclusive.

Man, I keep wishing for the time to dig into this one. I'ven't wasted days away on a good, true Roguelike in a while.

I'm not on the spectrum (ADHD, comorbidities), but I feel this. I just can't manage to overcome it though. Any attempt to do so immediately devolves into that very same cascade of self-criticism, and it ends up being cringe anyway, in service of no one. Let me know if you unlock the secret trick.
