Comms, formerly design and some teaching. Love books, photography and the potential of bikes. Concerned for my kids and the planet. Late diagnosed AuDHD. IRL/AUS. Wiradjuri land. Sweary and progressive.
The weather is warming and so we’ve had some absolute cracker days. Spent my Saturday indulging in slow chores, coffee and pastries. #cargobikelife #bikesky

What the fk? $2 billion of our taxes to a country that is building gulags and snatching people off the streets?

Another week done. Longer commute home along the Murrumbidgee, trying to beat the setting sun. #bikesky

Great evening for a ride. Biking blows out the cobwebs and resets the mind, especially after a week full of politics and stress. Be well bike riders. #bikesky

Commuting on gravel paths and seeing wildlife, but 32 degrees celsius (approx. 90F) in the afternoons. Worth it. #bikesky

This kind of heading is ridiculous. A reader would think solar and batteries are a scam, rather than the dropping feed in tariff prices that the quote refers to.

I really want to get back on the bike to get to work, but these temperatures are crazy.
Any recommendations?

Last night in Canberra so I’m (really) enjoying food truck Korean Fried Chicken. And a free sample of twiggim (battered and deep fried clump of vegetables) from the very kind ajumma. It’s the biz.

Thanks to @canberrabybike.bsky.social I got to see some of Canberra, by bike. Followed up with a solid cafe recommendation.

Icing home made ginger bread cookies for Christmas has become a family tradition. As the kids grow the traditional decorations go out the window.

Got in a Christmas Parkrun this morning with kid no.2. Never thought I’d be willingly exercising before opening Christmas presents!
How’s the serenity?

I don’t know what it is about this year (I do though- so much wrong) but it feels frantic at work. No respite, just go go go. Counting the days until quality cat time begins.

Time to get some Christmas lights on the big bike. Having Christmas in summer means that every year I put it off and then don’t bother. Might have to ride around after dark this year. Australian summers aren’t great for Christmas light ROI in my opinion.

Good things. Local library with the traditional book tree, and food drive. Amazing places these libraries.
