Reads more comics than anyone thought humanly possible.
Heard you on Nerdstradomus. I read I Was a Teenage Slasher last year. I think you'd really like it given how you feel about horror movies. The premise is kind of that you can catch being a slasher like it's a cold.

Is The Roundtable coming back guys? It's been 3 weeks. I miss my baseball talk. You guys are forcing me to listen to Foul Territory instead.

I finished your 100th episode of IRM today. I liked it. As far as doing more of them. It's your show. Do what you want. If you're having a difficult time tracking down novelizations, open it up to scripts, comic adaptations, novels based on the movies, whatever. Treat Yo'self.

If you figured out how to use Edelweiss, there's a new Dresden Files novella on there, Out Law. Comes out in May. I picked it up the other day.

Thought you might be interested in this even though I thought it was bad. Apparently, Titan Comics made some comics based on Hammer films. I just finished The Mummy from Peter Milligan. There's a retrospective on the films as well.

I just saw Jim Butcher is going on a book tour for the new Dresden Files book, Twelve Months. That means it should actually come out on 1/20 with no further delays. I've been jonesing for this one.

I know most of you don't do Lego but a Lego Enterprise with this light kit in it is pretty compelling.

Plus one of the minifigs is Riker with a trombone.

Nice episode this week guys. Happened to be wearing a Heatmiser / Coldmiser t-shirt while listening to it and just finished a Rudolph game on my PS5 last week.

Saw this new Humble Bundle and thought you might be interested. It's a collection of cozy games for the computer. Even if they suck it was only $12 for 9 games.

Went and saw Darene Love's Christmas show last night. She's still got a great voice at 84. FYI, David Letterman did not make it to the show.

I don't know what to do with myself. For once I'm caught up with the onslaught of Michael May and Pax Holley podcasts. Typically, December has a new Afterlunch from SBC almost every day. So today was with CFC and Santa Claus: The Movie from last year.

@jesstures.bsky.social If you want to read Hellboy digitally, Dark Horse has put all of the comics on Humble Bundle the last 2 years over Christmas for around $40. It's an exceptional deal.
November 28, 2025 at 7:48 PM
@jesstures.bsky.social Those Hellboy omnibuses are the way to go if you want to read them in order without having to figure anything out. There are 4 of them for the main story and then 2 that collect all of the short stories. That's all you really need for the complete Hellboy story.

You and I like the same stuff Pax. I've read the Orphan X novels. (Hurwitz has also written Moon Knight, Punisher and Foolkiller for Marvel if you're interested) and I just got Cobalt Blue from the library last week. @paxholley.com

Mike, The Kryptonian Age is only the first 6 issues of the story. DC split it up. The last issue of the 2nd half, A League for Justice, comes out in Dec. The first half was just OK, it feels long. @michaelmay.bsky.social

So I thought of a new episode idea while I was getting caught up with the Oct episodes. What about a Star Wars EU debate for Legends books versus the current, shittier books where absolutely nothing of consequence happens?

Introduced my nephew to Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation Saturday night. It was great to see it return after a couple of decades away. I remember going to the midnight shows throughout the 90s when it would come to St. Louis or Champaign.

Huh, A new Bride of Frankenstein film by Maggie Gyllenhaal with both her husband and brother in it plus Christian Bale as Frankenstein's monster. And it looks like they are some kind of Bonnie and Clyde in this.

Those Ultimate Spider-Man comics are great. So are Ultimates and Ultimate Black Panther. I think U Spidey is getting restarted after #24. Basically Hickman's leaving. It's the Maker's return. There's an event. He's been locked away for the last 2 years.

Those Ghost Machine comics are good. I'm buying them all monthly from my LCS. Most of the Geoff Johns ones are set in the same universe, except Rook Exodus and I think Hyde Street. The two Peter Tomasi comics are part of Family Odysseys. The art in every book is terrific.
