Its been a while so i may be misremembering but all we to go off was the “what did peter do?” teaser at first, which in of itself wasn’t terrible. Unlike Billie being cast as the Doctor which immediately feels terrible…

Doesn’t matter if you don’t know what direction to take, if you want to make art just do it for the joy of it. If you don’t like the direction you’ve taken you can just pick a different direction and keep doing so until you’re satisfied

While im on the pro-PeterMj ship, i agree with this entirely, Mary Jane should always be treated as a main character with just as much importance to the plot as Peter.

And Absolute Batman, a pretty bonkers reinterpretation of the character that dares to ask, what if Batman was a mama’s boy with an alive mama? Oh and ig he’s dirt broke too. It’s not very far in yet, but im really intrigued to see where this series goes.

The Ultimates was a very close second, showcasing an Avengers like team where instead of being your traditional superhero conjunction, they serve as revolutionaries fighting against a corrupted world, with some subtle parallels to our real world.

With the mainline spider-man comics no longer being up to snuff, we needed a hero to bring honor to our favorite web slinger. And that hero was Johnathan Hickman with Marco Checchetto. Through the ultimate line, these two brought back life into the character that has been sorely missing.

And now that its over I can’t wait to see what Jorge cooks up next. Whether it’s a retelling of the Iliad ir something completely different, i’ll be there to support it.

Having been only introduced to Epic the Musical this year, ive had the pleasure of listening to banger after banger in this EPIC retelling of the Odyssey in a musical format. It was something I didn’t know was missing from my life, but something I can’t imagine it without now.

Just goes to show that if you want someone with ADHD to finish your book, put a manic amount of the LSD inducing pictures in it. Regardless as an avid Gravity Falls fan, this book was everything i hoped for. Fun, silly, a little fucked up, and of course a healthy dose of mystery and lore!

Yup the game that i played for a day, trained hard to learn combos using Spider-Man, went into some real matches and quickly got overwhelmed and didn’t land a single combo I practiced! Then proceeded to not play for the rest of the year… yeah not a good year for me in terms of gaming…
